Scholarship Details
The Answer Bag Scholarship programme was created to increase public awareness about the state of our consumer credit markets. A scholarship of £1000 will be provided bi-annually in December and April to the winner of our essay contest to assist with the costs of their studies. We encourage all students with an interest in public policy, finance, or economics to apply.

Who is Eligible
All students who are currently enrolled at a UK-based university (Undergraduate or Masters) are eligible for the £1000 award.
How to Apply
Over the last several years, the consumer credit markets have faced an unprecedented amount of scrutiny and regulation, with the payday loan market at the forefront of debate. Please discuss in 1,000 words or less whether you think regulation of the consumer credit markets is necessary, and if so, what you think are the most pressing changes that legislators should implement. Please also include any personal experiences with the consumer credit markets that have had a meaningful impact on your life – either positive or negative.
The Spring application period will start at 8.30am 7th February 2018 and end at 11.59pm 25th April 2018. The winner will be selected by 30th April 2018.

- All essays must be written by the entrant and be original, unpublished, and free of plagiarism.
- Applicants must be able to provide proof of enrolment at a UK-based university.
