That's what I would have said.
by Mrs Anonymous on October 13th, 2008
americans seem so eager to throw the word "socialist" around at obama. what evidence do you have that he's socialist? have you compared his policies with the rest of the world? i'll bet the answer is no, therefore this answer is unintelligent.
by El Fabrizio on December 27th, 2008
Have you looked at his Senate record?I didn't think so...
by Mrs Anonymous on December 27th, 2008
again, name something hes done to make u think hes socialist. actually better yet, tell me in your own words what u think socialism is. because i'll bet you that's not what it is.
by El Fabrizio on December 28th, 2008
The United States is not the rest of the world, nor do we wish it to be.We strive for a Capitalist system.Socialism kills the spirit and robs the individual of personal iniative.Obama has shown through his voting record that he thinks he"knows what's best" for the individual.I can't say what he will do,only what he's likely to do based on his past record in the Senate.Look who he's surrounding himself with for his Cabinet! As for your homework assignments that you try to give me...DO YOUR OWN WORK!!!LMAO!
by Mrs Anonymous on December 28th, 2008
you've STILL yet to do anything other than recite empty republican rhetoric. please be more specific and give me an EXAMPLE of something he's done to make you think him socialist. what exactly has he voted for that makes you uncomfortable? what about his record disturbs you? im not trying to give you homework assignments, i'm asking for your personal opinion. if you have to see them as homework assignments, then that means you don't have an opinion and you're just one of many redneck hillbilly sheep tailing after the GOP spin machine's shepherd.
by El Fabrizio on December 28th, 2008
So not true, little boy.I can't imagine that you understand the concept of working for something yourself and not expecting others to do your work or the government(or in your case,PARENTS!) to pay your way.To argue politics with a kid who isn't paying their own way through life doesn't interest me.
by Mrs Anonymous on December 28th, 2008
i pay my own bills with my own job and i also have a student loan. don't act all high and mighty just because you're older. the fact that you have such backward, grotty and outdated ideals shows exactly what kind of narrow-minded prick you are. you hate new ideas. you hate progression. you want to go back to the "good-ol' days" when sittin in a rocking chair on your front porch playing banjo with a piece of wheat in your mouth was considered the good life.
i hoped that this would be a nice and friendly discussion when i first commented (because i was in all honesty interested in your opinion) but it looks like you're not up for that. so im guna leave now and let you have the last word. go for it. i hope you enjoy your ego trip.
by El Fabrizio on December 28th, 2008
I don't believe you have bills that you pay.Your parents do that for you. When you get out in the real world, you will get a good dose of how things work. You didn't hope for a friendly discussion. That was evident from your first comment. You're more interested in throwing tantrums when you don't get your way.
by Mrs Anonymous on December 28th, 2008
Who cares what you believe. Your obviously as close minded and idiotic as your comments suggest. Your more than likely some bitter dried up old hag who has nothing better to do than to pass judgment on people that you don't know. How dare you! It is people like you that screwed up our country with your narrow minded self centered selfish ideals. So you can simply shove your opinions and ideals up your rectal cavity and go to hell.
by jesters_rage on December 31st, 2008
How dare I?Lol!Answerbag is about opinions, you jackass. If you read the first comment that I made it wasn't to anyone butMeg.Old hag?I am older than 15.( the age of my rude little buddy.)I don't need to be told by some child who hasn't left the safety of his parents home(and actually works and pays a mortgage, buys his own food etc, etc, etc) what to do with my money. He might actually think that you can get all the benefits that Socialism "offers" for free.Incredibly naive, don't you think?Nothing is free. When someone comes to take your property or tax you to death,we'll see how unselfish you are.As a side note, you might want to swallow some Midol.
by Mrs Anonymous on December 31st, 2008
At risk of adding fuel to the fire, I feel compelled to support Ms.Anonymous. Her handling of that pretentious little snot was commendable.
.
As for you, jesters_rage, I care what Ms.Anonymous believes. As for pointing fingers and calling people "close minded bitter dried up old hags"....well, clearly you are an idiot. Consider yourself reported (and mercilessly mocked in private conversations)

by The Mess on April 22nd, 2009
And after reading this I still have no concrete example of what Socialism is, I still don't care about socialism, if we are socialists or not is irrelavent to me. If we're socialists what's going to happen will the American country side between Tennesee and New Mexico open up and be swallowed into oblivion??! I'm not going to sit here and claim that I know what I'm talking about like you did, but I do know this. I'm running out of space, but I feel like writing still and I'm gonna go for it.
by The Mess on April 22nd, 2009
The problem is you all keep yelling and screaming about he's a socialist and yet what's the big deal? Maybe socialism will be fun .... WHO TOLD YOU that socialism is a bad thing? Why is it a bad thing, because the rich fat cats don't get their pay day? Or because I'm going to be broke and jobless? ......Bueller....Bueller? "Her handling of that pretentious little snot was commendable." That guy ABSOLUTELY owned you up and down the page by the way.

@The Mess-I do not do anyone else's homework or dance to their tune.
by Mrs Anonymous on April 23rd, 2009
@themess, I have followed Mrs.Anonymous's posts in the past and she knows perfectly well what socialism is and why Obama has/is being exposed as the socialist he is. Mrs.Anonymous did not change the subject. She held on point and did not "dance to thier tune'. Demanding definitions to comonly established concepts is a poor debating tactic and should be ignored. These ladies are dealing with babies who live in thier mommies basements and if that is the company where you place your favor sobeit. Your cavalier attitude towards socialism informs that you either don't know why it's evil or you preferr it. I will guess, based on use of:"rich fat cats don't get thier pay day",that you prefer it and have a great deal of class envy coupled with a huge egalitarian streak fostered but not limited to the reason you cited as:"Or because I'm going to be broke and jobless". I will also respectfuly ask you to not use the name of God as a pejoritive. That sort of thing belongs with the basement boys. The horror observed by the world as desperate hendreds of thousands strove to flee certain socialized countries of europe. Escaping over barbed wire while under machine gun fire should dispell any belief that socialism is/was motivated from a benevolence for man
by harryseldon on April 23rd, 2009
Thank you,Harryseldon. How are doing?Hi Meg,I hope all is well with you :)
by Mrs Anonymous on April 23rd, 2009
Outstanding Mrs.anonymous. I see the second handers are still complaining about anyone else having an opinion, where did all the tolerance for the views of others go? I like that you stayed on topic and didn't engage that tired old tactic.
by harryseldon on April 23rd, 2009
Tolerance is not part of that agenda.I'm waiting for the machine gun fire!lmao!
by Mrs Anonymous on April 23rd, 2009
First off.. I'll use the word God however I please. Harry...you sound just like the rest of them. You took lets see....13 lines to tell me nothing. Also "Your cavalier attitude towards socialism informs that you either don't know why it's evil or you preferr it" I DON'T KNOW WHY IT'S EVIL HENCE THE QUESTIONS I ASKED IN THE PREVIOUS STATEMENT I MADE!!! Thanks for stating something I already admitted to in the previous paragraph. Good for you sleuth you've figured out nothing.
by The Mess on April 23rd, 2009
We both know that you're full of it!LMAO!
by Mrs Anonymous on April 23rd, 2009
Also...I'm not demanding definitions, I'm not trying to get someone to do my "homework" for me, and I'm not trying to get people to dance to my "tune". Then you keep saying that we're "babies who live in basements" when you're crying about the use of the word God , Mrs. Anonymous is using LMAO, and both of you calling us "babies." Really? You don't know who we are, and never once have we claimed to know who you are. Your ideals and thought processes come out through your writing.
by The Mess on April 23rd, 2009
So I'll do you all a fricken favor. SOCIALISM- BAM theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. This hasn't happened yet, and I doubt it will. I understand that you're scared because it also says it's the next step before communism, after capitalism. I also just read an article by an ACTUAL Socialist who claims Obama is not Socialist, shouldn't he know since it's his party?
by The Mess on April 23rd, 2009
I then read an article about How he IS a socialist which was a terrible article that had awful examples. Here's a few. "Obama has declared that he believes every person has a "right" to health care. The Socialist Party USA believes every person has a "right" to health care." Maybe it's me but I think every human being believes they have the right to fucking health care. "The Socialist Party USA calls for an immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Obama says, "I will end this war," with never a reference to "winning" or "victory." That's because it's an unwinnable war. That's the outcome when you go fight for no reason.
by The Mess on April 23rd, 2009
"The Socialist Party USA calls for the "unconditional disarmament" by the United States. Obama has promised to dramatically reduce defense spending." Hence the war we should've never gotten into, and the money Bush spent on defense to make himself look like he did something neat. There's 3 WRONG examples of a guy who's trying to make Obama look like a socialist. He's not a socialist, he's a normal sane man not overcome with greed and power. Maybe he'll do good, maybe he'll do bad, only time will tell. But that's how you provide examples to strengthen an argument children. Stay in school.
by The Mess on April 23rd, 2009
"We both know that you're full of it!LMAO!" Great insight. Take you a while to come up with that one? You should be on Fox and Friends with that laughably awful commentary. See that's how grown ups talk when something is funny, "it's laughable" you know... "ha ha". But don't worry you'll get there someday kiddo.
by The Mess on April 23rd, 2009
You're even funnier when you're throwing a tantrum!Bam??LMAO!

Why could anyone in their right mind support Obama?
by JoeBobDirt on September 26th, 2008
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
.
Bush = McCain
.
Am I the one who's not in my right mind?
by Anonymous on September 26th, 2008
I want someone who, in a time of war, has experience in dealing with it. Obama is too inexperienced.
by JoeBobDirt on September 27th, 2008
So you actually support the War in Iraq? You believe that should be continued and our resources drained on that useless war? I believe that we should fight in Afghanistan and take out Bin Laden if we see him, but the War in Iraq is pointless. Even Bush is proposing time tables to get us out of Iraq, McCain is the only one not.
.
You said Obama is to inexperienced. Do you know what people said about the president who presided over the greatest economic expansion in US history? Too young and inexperienced (Bill Clinton).
.
Did you watch the debate?
by Anonymous on September 28th, 2008
I did watch the debate and McCain did talk about pulling troops out of Iraq and placing more in Afghanistan. Clinton was not in presidency during a time of war for one thing. He is one of the only two presidents that have been impeached. He was not a good president at all. When terrorists bombed the trade center, he did nothing. As a result, 9/11. Again I say we need a president with experience in this time of war. In the debate, McCain showed his superiorority against Obama.
by JoeBobDirt on September 28th, 2008
Clinton wasn't a good president? Just because he got a blow job from some one other than his wife doesn't mean he's a bad president. McCain only conceded the fact that we need more troops in Afghanistan after Obama said it. President Clinton did bring the WTC bombing perpetrators to justice (along with the CIA killings). Don't make false accusations.

by JoeBobDirt on October 1st, 2008
Just to let you know, I'm a different person than the russian guy. This is what the Russian guy said (I used a translator:
Mr. Dirt, You are as stupid as a bag of hammers). I didn't say that--he said that. I can't remember where my source was from, but don't you remember any of these things? Were you not paying attention?
by Anonymous on October 1st, 2008
Cool. Anyway I do not remember any of that and therefore cannot believe any of that. Those people who supposedly said that about Clinton are messed up.
by JoeBobDirt on October 3rd, 2008
OK, cool, so you weren't paying attention from '92-2000. That's good enough for me.
by Anonymous on October 3rd, 2008
I do know Clinton was the one who let bin Laden leave America peacefully.
by JoeBobDirt on October 4th, 2008
"A secret CIA videotape shows that the Clinton administration had
pinpointed the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden a year before the 9/11
attacks, but declined to kill him because of White House orders that
he should be taken alive."http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/3/16/223109.shtml
.
Yes, tragic moment in the Clinton presidency.
.
At least we can agree to disagree...
by Anonymous on October 4th, 2008
Well anyway, I think Obama is too inexperienced to assume the responsibilities of being president.
by JoeBobDirt on October 8th, 2008
I think McCain is to hypocritical to be president (straight talk express never even left the station). For him to say we should have started renewable energy 30 years ago and he voted 24 times against it within the last 26 years is despicable. Also, $5000 to buy Health Care? Is he serious? Start talking 20k and I'll listen. And he's going to tax the Employee benefits (There goes the money we just got for HC!). Oh well, at least we can agree to disagree. I really don't like talking politics, although I did with a few people on the C Train today. But again, I hate conversing politics most of the time. I dunno why, I just do.
by Anonymous on October 8th, 2008
I understand because you are not very good at it. All i've seen is a bunch of lies.
by JoeBobDirt on October 9th, 2008
No, I think it's more along the lines that I respect other people, their opinions, and I don't trod on their abilities that you can't fully gauge on the internet.
by Anonymous on October 10th, 2008
The fact that you cannot believe much anyone says is true. Especially any politician.
by JoeBobDirt on October 17th, 2008
It's a good thing I'm not a politician then :)

Just because Roe V. Wade is decided doesn't mean we should close that argument :)
Vote Obama!
(if you're in one of the few places that is still voting)
by Anonymous on November 4th, 2008
lol. Thanks for the laugh, JoeBobDirt.
I thought people like you weren't allowed out of zoos.
by Zebulon on November 7th, 2008
Well lets see here. I voted for McCain and I am in one of the red states and I have to say, I am in one of the best states in the US. Oklahoma
by JoeBobDirt on November 9th, 2008
My comment remains.
by Zebulon on November 9th, 2008
Ha! Oklahoma...Figures!
Oklahoma is always red anyway. It doesn't matter if your state's red, Obama won!
.
I'm in the best city and state in the USA: New York.
by Anonymous on November 10th, 2008
Haha! Love the comment about the zoos :)
by Anonymous on November 10th, 2008
New York is a zoo. A large portion of the population of the city does not even have their own car because the traffic is horrible. I just love Oklahoma. The way of life is just great.
by JoeBobDirt on November 13th, 2008
Now that the election is over, I am behind Obama 100%. I don't really have any other choice. I don't think he was the right man but I will still support him.
by JoeBobDirt on November 13th, 2008
While I am glad that you're behind Obama, I do want to make clear to you that you do have a choice to not be behind him. This country was founded on dissension and the belief that if you don't believe in what your government is doing, you have the duty to speak out against it. To say that you have no choice because he is President is blind obedience.
by Zebulon on November 14th, 2008
New York is like a zoo....I love it. Yeah, a large portion of the population (urban) doesn't have a car, including me. The traffic isn't that bad...we don't really have cars because the public transit system is really good (unless you're in a rush - then, and only then, are the subways and buses late). Anyway,I hate cars. I don't like being enclosed in a metal cage 4 hours a day. Whenever I go on vacation, I just bring my bike. I'm planning a trip to California by my bike. It'll be my first (and hopefully not last) time cycling cross-country. I've done a few (smaller) cycling tours before.
.
Glad to hear you are behind Obama; though do listen to what Zeb just said: lots of wisdom in it.
by Anonymous on November 14th, 2008
Just as long as Obama can run this country effectively will I fully be behind him. Big you should do some touring in Oklahoma. There really is a lot of great stuff to see. There is one thing that I believe is imperative that we as a country do and that is to protect Israel.
by JoeBobDirt on November 20th, 2008
Thanks for the suggestion of Oklahoma :) I think I'd like Oklahoma
I'm not sure on Zionism; I haven't researched it enough to develop an opinion.

I can understand "loose," and "buisness," and maybe even "desaster," but "capilist" is a little much....I would work on that proofreading, or download Google toolbar, which has a spell checker. Not saying you should, but it won't hurt anything.

nancy48: If you'd ever cracked open Das Kapital, which is about as big as the OED, you'd know that, universally, Marx's first name is spelled with a K. Like most of your ignorant ilk, you throw words around for which you haven't a clue to the meaning. You have no idea what a Marxist is or how it pertains to Obama, you are just parroting vicious propaganda perpetrated by idiots. Think for yourself. As a voter and a patriot, it's your responsibility to do so.

though i disagree with a lot of what he stands for, i still must say that the man is:
charismatic
True he may present himself as charismatic unfortunately that will not be whats needed to run this country . I too disagree with a lot of what of what he stands for or maybe I should say what he doesn't stand for.
by birdie1956 on July 31st, 2008
One does not "present themselves" as charismatic. They either are or they aren't.
by zazzy_one on September 8th, 2008
At first I was going to respond with a sarcastic remark to your correction of my vocabulary and I realized it really doesn't matter .
by birdie1956 on September 8th, 2008
The whole point of charisma is that it is natural. Anyway.
I agree with you Mariposa and unloaded my 6+ on ya. I will vote for Obama, even though I have some problems with him. But I think that strong supporter, mediocre supporter, or opponent, the charisma is unquestionable. I wish I could give you more points. You're saying what a lot of people are thinking.
by zazzy_one on September 8th, 2008
Whichever candidate people vote for I hope they do it with intelligence and not because someone is charismatic,or of any particular race, sex, or party affilation. Unfortunately too many people will follow others blindly and not think for themselves. I stand by what I said that Charisma is NOT what it will take to run this country.
by birdie1956 on September 9th, 2008
Obviously. But that was not the question asked, nor the basis of her answer.
by zazzy_one on September 9th, 2008
He is charismatic and that's why a lot of people want to vote for him. Another word- influential.

PRESIDENTIAL!!! Acts and talks like a president not like *cough* Bush *cough* lol
With a little help from the telepromter LOL like them all. Have you heard any of them speak without the telepromter. They do not sound anywhere as good, besides they pay big bucks for speech writers to make them sound good and have advisors who polish up the rest.
by birdie1956 on September 16th, 2008
Yeah, that is right, but look at Obama, he delivers speeches day in and day out in this campaign race; he's doing a good job at it. Of course he's human lol, but when you listen to Bush talking, you can tell that some noob just gives him flash cards to read and when he stumbles upon a hard to pronounce word he covers it up with saying stuff about freedom, democracy, and etc. HA HA HA. McCain is an ok speaker, but Obama's better, putting all politics aside, McCain is just too old for this stuff. You know?
by JC85cap on September 16th, 2008
Anyone would be better than Bush as far as I'm concerned but I've also seen Obama stumble over his words. We are all human after all and prone to mistakes. The main reason for my answer above is that some people let their emotions dictate their voting choices .
by birdie1956 on September 16th, 2008
true that
by JC85cap on September 17th, 2008
Obama is incappable of thinking on his own! Listen to anything that goes beyond his speach wrighters scripts and you will find a real Marxist, Acey, Wright, philosiphy follower! It is a scarry thing that the bush haters would sell this country out to a true Marxest Socialist like Obama. May we all aware of the truth. PS Obama is Arab/American 6.25% African 43%Arabic does not qualify one to be African. Just because one professes to be African does not make it true!!
