First, did they give you a router? Is it wireless? Sometimes they combine the router and DSL modem and call it a gateway.

If it is not wireless, you will need to run the ethernet cable from the router to the new computer. You can get the needed amount of ethernet cable by visiting a computer shop and asking for "___" feet of ethernet cable, just have to use a tape measure to figure out how much you need. This could be bad if there is distance involved. If you do need to run cable, plug one end into the router (the box with usually 4 plugs in the back that look like fat phone plugs), and the other end into the similar slot on the back of the third computer.

If it is wireless (as is most likely these days), it will avoid the hassle of running the cable through the house. You'll need to make sure the third computer has a wireless adapter (you can ask the people you bought it from).

Once you've either run cable or confirmed that you have wireless on both ends, power up the third computer, and click on the Start menu, go to Settings, then choose Network Connections. From the window that opens, look on the left side, and click on the Add New Connection. This will start the wizard that should guide you through the process with no trouble, as long as the hardware is set up right.

If you have access to a grandchild, or a neighbor of high-school age, they can be very helpful with any snags that might pop up.

Thank you very much for your help.
I think I understand better now .I had bought a Belkin wireless "G" USB Network Adapter. Then I bought the same thing except it said "N".Will either of these work?

I installed the "G" and got almost to the end and there
was so many technical questions that I diden"t know.

Are either of these what I need? If so which one? Also,
I inatalled the "G" I got for enough to see that the signal wasen"t very strong.
By the way,the cable isen" an option...it would have to go through 1 bath..living room..kitchen..another
    bedroom.
Thank you so very much.God bless you!
