look at top of page click downloads
type in Microsoft word 2003 or 2007 or even just Microsoft word and page come up shows lot of software
I can't remember name of program but it was talked about in last months issue of pcworld, and its free, allows you to move between word, 2003,2007 with any document you may have from way back when to just created.

copy and paste this in google:
FileFormatConverters.exe
it will take you to Microsoft download area, this is the software to make 2003,2007 etc work together
Get rid of MS Office and try out OpenOffice 2.4. It can handle most word version files better than word can and they tend not to mess up as easily as docs do in Word.
