You're reading Has anyone ever been at their PC when a CD explodes inside?
Comments
King of all squirrels in Squirreltown Yeah, seriously about 1 in 2 million disks have microscopic cracks that cause them to explode inside the drive when they're going at top speed. the PC will usually jump a few inches in the air from the shock and tiny shards can come through the front of the CD drive, its seriousy LOUD and the CD drive wont ever work again. i saw this several time while working in a pc shop most people will never see it happen but we use such a massive amount of CD's compared to average. seriously, if it ever happens to you it will scare the hell out of you.
