News: Fix for answers that wouldn't save

I'm lying in bed trying to sleep, and all I can feel is my heart pumping. I measured the rate at which it is going and got 90bpm. Is this abnormal?

    LANGIE Nov 19th, 2009 i know what you mean and the more you think about it does your head in. i dont think its abnormal i think you need to distract your self put a song on you need to relax and listening to your heart pumping isnt very relaxing read something do something that will calm you or think of a special time as peter pan said think happy thoghts ok

    Merriment Nov 19th, 2009 It varies, but as a resting rate that's a bit fast.

    Of course the more you think about that, the faster it will go due to the anxiety.

    It may be best to get up and do something that will take your mind off your heart.

    Did you have lots of caffeine or smoke today?

    Both of those will rev up the heart.
