well, in what sence do you mean she might go against yuou. if it does not work, and she's a friend, she might not retaliate in any way...
Perhaps it is time for you to reassess what constitutes a REAL FRIENDSHIP to you?
When I consider my REAL FRIENDS I see people who are supportive of my goals and successes in life. Just as I am of theirs. I feel joy when I think of them. We share laughter, sorrows then they come to us, we care about each other being safe, happy, content. We pull together when needed to insure we each have what we need.
We have shopped for each other when one is sick, or cooked good food when one is too ill to do so, given rides to the doctor or hospital when one was injured, prayed for each other, helped in the garden, had picnics and shared holiday fun and meals...each contributing to the happiness of the other in good times or bad...
There is no putting up with "shit" because there is NO SHIT to put up with! I would not do anything to cause them harm, nor would they seek to hurt me and my family.....we are FRIENDS.
Well, people move in and out of friendship. I know what you mean by "she might go against" you and the key is simply to slowly withdraw. Cutting it off suddenly might be the shock that sets her off but as you gradually spend less time with her, she'll probably start sharing the shit, if you know what I mean.
