Same way you make friends with anyone else - strike up a conversation, get to know someone and see if you have common interests

Generally speaking Americans are among the friendliest and most easy-going people in the world, so it should be quite easy. Just don't let the jingoistic minority of fanatics and nut-jobs put you off.

Americans are friendly for all their huff and puff. Libraries and bars are nice places to meet people. Go to YMCA clubs, introduce yourself to your neighbors. . .there are lots of ways.

24/7? That's just silly. If sex was ALL someone ever talked about, he/she wouldn't make any friends. In general, people - especially women - would avoid that person because they'd instinctively know that anyone who talks (not necessarily "thinks", lol) about sex 24/7 is some kind of rude pervert.
