    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

The average life-span of a clutch depends on the car's make. Japanese passenger cars average 100,000 to 150,000 miles, while American V8 cars tend to average just 50,000 to 80,000 miles. Driving conditions that require heavy/constant shifting as well as incompetent shifting skills will wear out a clutch quickly.
