I would say most voters vote on issue, not race. You could ask the same question how much white votes can an African-American get if he/she is running against a white opponent.

What issue? Does having a brother in office constitute an "issue"?

Do all African Americans now have a brother in office? Maybe Steele should give up his job at the RNC

A white candidate if he or she is competing with an African-American opponent can expect 0% to 5% of black vote.

The liberals will tell you that African-American always vote for Democratic candidate, until you show them

Exibit A: Barack Obama vs Hillary Clinton

0 to 5 percent? do you have a link? Do you think black voters would have voted for C. Rice over H. Clinton?
