In a lot of situations, I would agree with your assessment. On the other hand, sometimes a stupid action is merely a stupid action. I know there have been times I have said or done something kind of dumb or mean, but did not even realize how my actions were percieved until after the deed- And I don't consider myself really a bad person.

Now in the Kanye West incident...I would agree he showed his true colors and he is only trying to "save his career" or reputation.

Of course. But who cares what kind of person they are. I just judge musicians based on their music. These celebrities have so much money and attention, of course they're egomaniacs, why does that surprise anyone?

Yes. Now if he was drunk, we'd forgive easier. I don't think that was the case here though.

Not at all, it's just shown that he's human.

Besides, people are making a bigger deal out of what he did than they need to. It's just the fact that a star performed a stunt and acted in an unusual way. It's not like he got up there and told Swift she was crap and slapped her in the face.

It was a bit mean for him to do what he did, but we're all mean and stupid from time to time. That doesn't make us mean people.

Not always. In the case of Kanye West I believe he is truely sorry. He looked like he was going to cry during the Leno interview (for the record I still think he's an idiot). On the other hand I think it's completely obvious Chris Brown's apology WAS just to save his career. Really, who gets a diamond incrusted "oops!" chain before a public apology?
