A surgery techÕs (or surgical technicianÕs) annual salary is a little more than $40,000 on average, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The lowest 10 percent earn about $27,510 while the top 10 percent earn $54,300. General medical and surgical hospitals employ the largest percentage of surgery techs and pay approximately $39,770 annually.
