News: Getting to the Points
Help answer this question below.
..nuh uh...unless the Pacific Ocean now has a bridge...
I live in the middle of a vast swampland so there are several bridges over various "rivers and streams" I would have to cross.
I live on an island.
I live in a small country town that is surrounded by other small country towns. there is no road here that does not have a bridge on it. I can not drive down any road here for 5 minutes without crossing a bridge.
Yes...a boatload of bridges. :)
no, but if I go for much more than an hour, I'll need a floatation device as I'll be in the pacific ocean!
duh. do you know how many creeks and stuff there are between my house and my mothers, that is directly west, but only 10 minutes away.... yeah. so i would say i would cross a good 50 or so.
Several for small streams and what not. About 1 hour after leaving, I'd cross the Red River, as well.
Several
Only very small ones over streams. Just over an hour though and I'd have to cross the Connecticut River.
Yes. Several. One over the Potomac River, one over Cub Run, one over Bull Run, one over the Shenendoah River (the last one if I drove on the fast side).
well, it comes before an hour!
Yes, I have to cross the IL River.
I live on an island I only need to go west for about ten minutes to get to the bridge (NYC traffic allowing ;)
Yes. I live at the confluence of two rivers.
yes.
many!
Yes, Everywhere I go, I almost have to cross a river.
Yes, several bridges. There are many streams and creeks in my area.
When I would drive 1 hour towards West I would find myself in the Baltic Sea, so a ferry would be a good idea for me when heading that way.
Yes a few small ones until I reached Lake Michigan. :)
No...because I'd be offshore in the Gulf of Mexico.
:-)
I live in the appalachian foothills ,surrounded by lakes and rivers. I can't get anywhere without bridges. And can't get my mind off of the feather.
Yes, 3.
Yes, a few small country style bridges :)
Yes! Many,many bridges!
Yes several, most are over normally dry washes and one over the Verde River which is normally wet.
several
If we could manage to drive through a few apple orchards, without getting shot, we might be lucky enough to cross a bridge, or else end up, up ended in the irrigation canal, 30 feet wide or so. Got a TEE intersection North/South about a quarter mile west, down our road.
I can only go west for about half an hour because I'll reach the Pacific Ocean.
(The answer is yes.)
No, if I did that I would be out in the middle of the Ocean...
Yes, about 1/2 mile West from me is a bridge over the Wisconsin River.
Quite a few small ones (over rivers and creeks). However, I'd run into the Pacific Ocean before I was driving for a full hour.
Yes several before Ohio
4 of them
No there is no bridge but there is a mountain with snow on it.
I'm certain of it!
yes i would just about 5 miles out of town
I definitely would be in the sea where I am now!
Took a friend up on an offer been here all afternoon!
Lots and Lots of them.
No, but I'd end up in the Irish Sea.
If I left my house and walked Due West... In about 5 minutes I would be in San Pablo Bay... If I continued walking (assuming I could walk on water or had SCUBA equipment) about 45 minutes I would be passing under the Golden Gate Bridge... So after an hour of going West, I would be in the Pacific Ocean... Nope, no bridges... They haven't built the bridge to Hawaii yet... Aloha...
Ummmm none, but i'd be in the ocaen in about 10 min.
Not any major ones
yes,many
I would have to cross one in every direction but West.
At least one.
Yes, but it is over a train track not a river.
Absolutely.
I'd reach the first one after ten minutes....over the railway and the river Nene

OS..wouldn't it be loverly if there were a bridge to Honolulu from L.A.? How long would it take us to drive over for a visit? Happy Saturday in Paradise my friend! :) ((hugs))
by RosieGHM Jetpacker on June 13th, 2009
@Rosie G - LA and Honolulu are about 2500 miles apart. A typical long driving day is 500 miles (LA to SF Bay area is about 400 miles).
.
So, it would take about 5-6 days to drive on this fantastical bridge.
.
Much as I hate flying, I think I'll stick to it over driving such distances...:-D..

What if there were gourmet dining at reasonable prices along the way? What if there were luxury hotels available at a pittance? What if the money we paid would go 100% to bona fide charitable causes? What if Magic and Larry and Kobe and Michael and others had establishments along the way and would be there to wait on you from time to time? What if? :)
