RosieGHM Jetpacker Jan 9th, 2009 That is exactly why I chose my Avatar..mom Unicorn and her kid. I also have a ceramic statue that is on a shelf of a mother and young child..I have one son so it reminds me of us long ago. I love that statue so much that I bought two of them. Some day I shall find a mom with a child for whom that statue will be a perfect gift! :)

Snow Bunny Jan 9th, 2009 oh yes! My daughter and I are very close. We love spending time with other mommies and their children too. There's just something so special about the mother child bond. I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that you carried them inside you for 9 months.

English Gal is back. Jan 9th, 2009 Yeah i do as i have a 12 year old daughter and understand the bond but sometimes i can feel a bit sad if i see a mother and daughter who are close as i dont have that with my mum and i really wish i did.

Bob Nov 21st, 2009 yes. one of my favorite tv scenes is from cold case, in which a young man is dancing, and, in the end, he looks up to heaven and remembers himself as a little boy dancing with his mommy. i cry nearly every time!
