Just make sure you only mount a legitimate image, but with that said most, if not all images of CD's/DVD's are illegal.

I don't have one yet - I was looking at them (possibly the msi wind) but was unsure about getting one because I was not sure how to load other programs onto them

Ah, well I've been looking around myself, and thinking right now to settle for a HP Mini 1000, other netbooks seem inferior or overpriced (especially Macbook Air, even though if I can afford it I will buy it!). Will also wait until after Xmas for cheaper prices.
