To watch: golf. To play: hmmm. I think that all sports that you are playing are interesting, at least for period that you are "up." So, I'll say golf, but only while you are watching others play.

Baseball by far!! I hate Japan's stupid obsession with it! A typical news show here is, "blah blah blah,......and now sports...baseball, baseball,baseball!!!!!" or "We interrupt this movie you were totally enjoying to take you live to Tokyo Dome where a bunch of guys are standing around in tight pants doing nothing!!"

- I kind of agree. I mean, i can't comprehend what it must be like in japan. The way you describe it would make baseball infuriating to me. I once went to yankee stadium for a series game, and i spent the whole time reading a book. If i didn't have to be there, i wouldn't have been.

- I think baseball is in the top 5 most boring. I swear you could have a 3 hour game, condense every second of action into one video, and that video would be about 4 minutes long. The rest of the time the pitcher is sweeping his feet around on the mound, fixing his hat, examining the ball, etc. The batter is swinging the bat around, fixing his batting helmet, adjusting his stance, etc. And everyone on both teams are spitting and adjusting their cup. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ....

Hi Frank :)

Once, I listened to NASCAR on the radio. It might have been the most boring thing EVER. But, I think any sport that you watch on TV gets pretty boring - I'd rather go watch a game in person, and participating is even better. I especially like active sports like soccer and hockey, and I get bored when I play baseball (especially when I'm supposed to stand still and catch a ball way out in the field) or golf or any other sport that invloves long periods of doing nothing.

- Rugby baby!!! love it! I played for a high school team in Oklahoma and loved every second of it. Being a football player at the same time, I could honestly say that Rugby is waayyyyy more brutal than football. Other football players were scared to join the rugby team, haha.

- Have you ever had the "luxury" (wink! wink!) of actually going to see one, Firebrand??!!
  The only thing of any interest at all were the parade and cheer girls!! If you didn't have them, you'd sorta be wundrin' why you were there and where your values layLOL!
  You get 4 or 5 secs of action most of the time. Then you have to wait 2 or 3 mins for them to all untangle themselves, each walk off about 40 yards from each other, spend who knows how long discussing their next 4 second play, slowly amble back to the line, spread themselves across the line, wait for the count, and then you get the next 4 secs of 'action'.
  Even talking about it (and no doubt, listening!LOL) gets boring!! zzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

  I am from Australia - as you may recall.
  So, in the past, soccer certainly hasn't been any mainstay here either. I used to think it wasn't much of a game at all - 'cos my experience was the local Mess I mentioned above.
  But we shifted to Perth, and one late night I had the square box on there, and here was this British soccer. Well, it was a brilliant game ... and it had its own atmosphere and fans singing, and the guys were jest brilliant orderly players. Even in the snow they had that game under control. Might also be better with the camera's bird's eye view to a degree also.
  Actually, I now love watching the girls play over here in their league ... they are brilliant - these girls ... and o' course, they're just nice to watch exercising.
  Yeah ... Liverpool is fun but I used to be a Leeds follower - they were on top thenLOL.
  Arsenal and Manchester were good too.

- I know it is, they spend half the time in a huddle discussing tactics and the rest of the time with their heads up each others butts. How can it be called FOOTBALL when to get anyone to kick the ball you have to bring on a specialist kicker.Which until the last few years was a retired European Rugby player.You sometimes see a great throw or a really fast rin but i would rather watch those on an Athletics field.

  The womans game is now big in the US.. Real football is a brilliant game. Gosh you have missed a lot Leeds have been in the Lower Divisions for quite a while now. That is sad for a big team. Arsenal are Good, of course being a Liverpool supporter it does not matter how good man U are I still hate them that is a football tradition.:)

  We follow Aust footy down here, of course - great and exciting game.
  Since the 60's my team is now on the bottom, whereas when I first followed, they were the team to beat for a whole decade almost. But since 1964, they haven't won a premiership :(
  It's a great pity about Leeds ... but Arsenal were sorta my 2nd team there, and they always did put in a pretty solid performance; didn't they?
  These days, I'm pretty laid back and just appreciate good footy, no matter who it is. Here Geelong havebeen the team to beat in v. recent years, but this year, St Kilda haven't lost a game so far - it was Geelong 2 years ago, who almost achieved the season without loss, but it has only been done once or twice in history here - which is about 112 years of main league football.
  The US games are a Laugh compared with the Aussie and British games.
  I think the most exciting game is Irish Hurling. That is absolutely Brilliant. We play the Irish in a hybrid mixed rules footy game every couple o' years- since about the 80's. The outcomes are pretty evenly split so far, but i think the Irish will gain the upper ascendancy over time, as the hybrid game uses a round ball, which they are used to ... our boys play with a ball more like the rugby ball, but a bit longer.

  Hey ... I still like my Grappleball game; but it might not be fast enough for you. You sound like a lady who likes particularly fast games - or, at least, games where the ball is moved around quickly anyway.
  My grappleball, which the young folks think is "wicked", is more like a keepings off game with goals at each end, but you can score goals from in front or from Behind the goal; so the field is set up more like rugby, but is about half as long and half as wide - designed that way so you can 'keep in the action' ... and you can pass the ball around anyway you like - foot, hand, or head - forwards or backwards, and if the ball travels 20+ yards, you can be awarded the mark, where you are given 3 metres clearance around the point of the mark. This rule allows for the big leap and mark to be taken, which is an exciting part of Aust footy. Mostly, though, people run with the ball, as when you get tackled, the tackler is not allowed to cause the player with the ball to go to the ground. So it is played indoors as well, but preferably on bigger than a basketball court.

- I have not got my Solo License. I stopped when my son dies and then my husband became sick so for the last 5 years I have not flown at all except on Commercial Airlines. I have flown a Cessna with the regular Pilot . In California and I have a friend that runs a Tourist Airline in Vegas and we used to fly out over the Grand Canyon. I used to be fighting to stay awake if I was a passenger. I will finish my hours next year I think when I am fit again.

I seldom get excited when curling matches are being broadcast and I have absolutely no desire to attend one. It ranks right up there with golf on the list of things I really don't need to watch. Nude female curling might be a tad more interesting, but that would be the only way I can imagine to liven it up for me.

  How right could you be, George!!??
  And here am I telling everyone that baseball and American footy are dreadfully boring to go and watch. When I went to a grid iron game, we couldn't even handle the first half, Man ... we went home : 4 secs of action for 2 mins of fiddle-fuddling like an ol' woman!!
  Baseball: the balls in the air about 3 secs - that's IF it is fairly hit, Man.
  You could be there half a day for 4 home runs! ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz
  But, definitely car racing is Dreadful - terrible on the screen - really, George...
  The other is "walking races"!!
  The main prob there is, not only is it slow, but the courses are lond drawn out things - races going for hours AZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  If it was 40 metres, you wouldn't get to sleep, at least, Gorgeous; would you??

LOL at POKER ON TV. After a long day at work, I don't wanna turn on ESPN and see some old farts sitting at a table talking shit. BUT i think NASCAR takes the cake. Let's watch cars run in circles for 5 hours. I'd rather drink a whole bottle of Ipecac. It doesn't even require physical abilities i.e.: strength, agility, etc. If you ask me its a huge waste of fuel.

  We all went home before half time wondering what all the fuss was about these games!!!

I would say golf i don't understand what's so appealing about watching someone hit a small ball... now playing golf, that's a different story, it is rather entertaining, but watching golf is not entertaining...
