If we aren't, we never really were!
Nothing nor anyone can come between us,
that is,except us!
Not a man, money, ice cream, gossip, NOTHING!:):):):)
Sure. I have several friends that are die hard Republicans and supporters of Bush. We just decide to respect eachothers opinions and move on. =)
yes, i am the only libral out of my group of freinds, u can have diffrent veiws as long as when politcs come up stick with the subject to not say anything out of contact
Absolutely (((RAAR)))
Yes. I think that the different politicians appeal to different kinds of people. You can't vote right or wrong, you can only vote for what's right for you and your family. I would think a millionaire voting for my candidate would be silly, since he is going to raise their taxes so much. He's great for my family, but that doesn't mean he's the best choice for everyone.
always.
Well that all depends. Are we still friends if I don't agree with yours?
Of course. We'll have great times agreeing to disagree.
I'm too well-rounded intellectually to let a little difference in politics distance me from my friends.
Yup, if we still have enough in common as well as shared respect for each other...we are still friends. We just won't talk about your political "priorities."
Yep.....if you are my firend there is more to our relationship than politics
Why the hell not.......
Yes. Friendship cannot be broken up by political beliefs.
Sure, as long as you don't try to force your political opinions on me. I don't even mind discussing politics with someone who disagrees, as long as they support their point rationally and calmly without resorting to "Just because!" or insult slinging.
Most likely, many of my friends do not agree with my political choice.
I could be friends that held differing views but I doubt if we could be the very best of friends. But no problem with good friends.
I'm sorry (and I know I'll get downrated for this) but no.
Any intelligent person who's thought about their choice and their reasons for that choice, and STILL ends up disagreeing with me in regards to politics means that they're a fundamentally different person than I am. While it's easy to say "sure, we can still be friends", we have to keep in mind and ask ourselves.. "really? Would I be this person's friend if they have a completely different set of ideals and beliefs than me? Some of which I might not approve according to my own ideals?"
I'm not saying that my ideals are right and yours are wrong if we disagree, I'm simply saying we're different people. Politics, like many other subjects that may not seem like influencers of friendship, is a very good indicator of how a person thinks and will react to certain situations, which expands to personality outside political opinion.
Of course. Only shallow people would fall out over another's political choice.
Awwww. Absolutely! Could never disown you Sassy T!
Yes, I have a lot of friends that are idiots!
On most issues yes. But there are some views on things that I can't have any respect for.
as long as you don't intentionally say mean personal and hurtful things. sure. I am saddened by those who take a spirited question intended to spark thoughts and different opinions. I try to stay cavil but there are some real Bozo's out there that deserve to be slapped!
Even though it might make me shallow, no. I am too set in my political views. Whenever I get into a political disagreement with someone, I usually feel like kicking their ass.
Yes. We just need to avoid the subject. We also need to remind each other that in the end, our votes cancel each other out.
OF COURSE!
Yes, of course. But, I don't see how you could not like Dustin Diamond for President.
yes - we can have lots of debates! LOL
Not if you constantly nag me about it, it will make me upset because you are being rude in my opinion.
We are even better friends when we have something real to talk about! Maybe you can tell me some fact I really didnt know about. See you at the bar!
I never discuss politics or religion with my friends.
They may not be my friends anymore.
We can still be friends as long as when we dialogue we can agree to disagree. We are all individuals with differing opinions that have been influenced by what has transpired in our past.
It depends what views you have that are so different then mine but we can always agree to disagree ^_^
As long as you do not try to take my guns or freedoms...
Of course we are! Politics aside, the fact that you are a AB dude/chick speaks volumes about you, and makes me interested in you regardless of political leanings.
Generally no. I could not associate myself with people who are not of like mind.
It don't matter to me. As for our friendship, I'll have you as your are.
Of course we are :)
What? Are you telling me that you and Sixty are not a good choice??? PFFT!!!
[throwing down the gauntlet]
On answerbag, I don't choose friends based on their political or religious choices. If an AB friend has a difference of opinion with me and we can discuss our points of view in responsible language, they will remain my friend.
Sure. If you can respect my right to an opinion, certainly I can extend you the same courtesy.
yep.. definately..
why should political choices come between friendships??
yes i will always be your friend.:)
man politics suck, ive lost two AB friends in the last week
I never base friendships on politics. There is more to a person than their politics.
I think we are mature enough to stay friends no matter what we disagree on:)
Of course. But you do know that your choices will reflect the quality of your birthday gift ;)
Even better friends, if you are honest; stand by your choices; and respect my point of view.
ABsolutely! :)
Sure...even though I haven't told mine.
Our friendship is based on mutual respect not on mutual agreement. I think real friends accept each others differing view points, that is what makes them friends. We would continue to be best of friends with a difference of political views.
Do you have what it takes to be an American?
