What did it take to save your last relationship?

It wasnt worth saving. I walked away.29 years and it STILL wasnt ok.

I just set a date told him. got all the direct debits changed, took my clothes, books and my cat and left a fully furnished paid up house behind. Asked for £10'000 .the house was worth £140'000. Did the divorce myself getting papers from the court.filling them in. he did not contest as I said I would fight for half the house if he did.I had contributed as much as him. all debits were in my name, from my bank.
What I left behind was just stuff.
