Mr. Darwin was quite the successful scientist... why does the term species still exist in our language if by his own theory it should be selected for deletion?

    Why would you delete it? It's the lowest rank of taxonomic rankings. Without it, it would be hard to specify a single animal. You'd either have to replace the word or use the Genus taxonomic rank to find a specific species......which would take forever.
